Year 9 Topics
This year group are taught a selection of topics from the WJEC A GCSE syllabus. These include:
Tourism Plate tectonics Development.
In addition they undertake a “Location, Location, Location” style enquiry in Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead.
A small group of 35 girls recently took part in an optional trip to Swanage and South Dorset where they studied issues such as “Managing the Jurassic Coast - A World Heritage Site” and “Coastal Geology and Landforms” at Lulworth Cove.
Key Stage 4
Girls who opt to continue with Geography GCSE beyond year 9 study the WJEC A syllabus. Preparation for the Controlled Assessment element will take place at Juniper Hall Field Studies Centre in March of year 10.
