PART TIME SCIENCE/BIOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Required for September 2008
Term time only plus 5 days (39 weeks per year)
35 hours per week
8.30am – 4.30pm – one hour for lunch
(hours open to limited negotiation)
Pro Rata salary circa £12,700 per annum - dependent on experience and hours worked (based on Hay Scale H3 plus Inner Fringe Allowance).
Required to provide practical non-teaching support for a thriving Biology Department. Duties will include the preparation of materials and equipment for classes, maintaining a safe working environment, looking after the greenhouse and checking and ordering stock. Training will be given if necessary, however, the main requirements will be the ability to work independently and on own initiative and to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.
