Sixth Form Admissions – Entry September 2026
Welcome to the Sixth Form at Watford Girls. Every year we welcome approximately 200 students into Year 12, of whom roughly 40% come to us from other schools. We have an enviable reputation for academic success at A level and would be delighted if you decide to join us.

How to apply
Student applications closed on the 31st January for entry in September 2026
Online applications for September entry are now closed. If you wish to make a late application, please contact us after 11:00am on Thursday 20th August (GCSE Results Day) to enquire about available places and subject availability.
If you wish to enrol, you will need to attend a meeting in person on either 20th or 21st August at Watford Girls.
Before contacting us, please review our Prospectus (link below) to ensure you meet the entry requirements for your chosen A levels and you must also have:
- A minimum of 46 points from your best 8 GCSEs
- Grade 5 in Mathematics
- Grade 5 in English Language or English Literature

Bursary Fund
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is a government fund put in place for students who may need financial support to undertake their A Level studies. Students already receiving a bursary must complete the Self-Declaration form below at the start of Year 13 to ensure their bursary continues in their final year. Written confirmation will be sent to confirm their Year 13 bursary award.
