WGGS pupil awarded place in world's greatest teenage orchestra
Year 11 pupil proud to be selected for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
Congratulations to WGGS pupil, Emily Nicolas, for her selection into the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. Emily has been selected to play the trombone in the 164-strong orchestra, which is made up of teenage musicians from around the UK.
Speaking about her selection, Emily said, "I was at school when I found out and I just couldn't contain my excitement. I was over the moon as I have put a lot of hard work in to get this far, it was a very proud moment for me."
In 2020, Emily and the orchestra will be performing in three concert tours across the country, playing at some of the best venues in England to share their love of music with other young people, which Emily is thrilled about.
