This summer has seen the students of Watford Grammar School for Girls achieve superb A Level and GCSE results
At A Level seven students got at least 3 A*s with 43% of all students achieving an A or A* and 74% of students achieving between an A* and B grade. Ten students have secured places to study Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science, with another seven gaining entry to Oxford and Cambridge universities.
At GCSE the Year 11 students have made exceptional progress, outperforming expectations for the fourth year running. 63% of all grades achieved were a grade 7 or above, with 22% of those grades being at least an 8 or 9, corresponding with the old A*. 95% of the students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at grade 5, including English and Maths.
Sylvia Tai, the school’s headmistress said, ‘ I congratulate all of our year 11 students for their hard work and commitment to excellence and wishes them well in all that they go on to achieve.’
