Watford Grammar School for Girls Recognised as Top Sixth Form in Watford

We are delighted to share that Watford Grammar School for Girls Sixth Form has been recognised as the top sixth form in Watford in The Telegraph Sixth Form Rankings 2026.

The national rankings assess sixth forms and colleges across the country using a range of measures, including A Level performance, comparison with national and local averages, the breadth of subjects offered, and the proportion of students progressing to higher education, particularly Russell Group universities.

Our Sixth Form was awarded the highest rating of “Very Good”, achieving an impressive score of 36 out of 40. The rankings also highlighted the strength of our students’ destinations, with 90% of students progressing to university and 52% securing places at leading universities, including many within the Russell Group.

This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, the expertise and commitment of our staff, and the ambitious, supportive environment that enables young people to thrive academically and personally.
