We were joined on Thursday 11th November by a very special former pupil, Emma Shaw, who recently won the prestigious Women in Innovation Award from Innovate UK for her pioneering business. A personalised purple plaque, a twist on the historical blue plaques, has gone up on the school site outside the Rhodes building in her honour. Emma also received £50,000 investment and mentoring support from Innovate UK. We hope the plaque and Emma’s success inspires our current pupils to follow in her footsteps.
