This summer, our library received a makeover and it’s now looking clean and bright with contemporary paintwork, improved lighting, and a lovely quiet reading room called the Esme Clarke Room.

The aim of this refurbishment is to develop a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere to encourage reading and the use of the library.

We are trying to offer as much access to the library as we can, whilst maintaining year group bubbles. Most year groups visit the library at least once a fortnight. Year 7s have the most opportunity, as they have library lessons and can visit after school every Monday and Tuesday until 4pm. We are also offering a delivery service for books requested in between library visits.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Parents Association for funding the refurbishment.
