The WGGS Drama Department’s production of ‘Euripedes’ Trojan Women’ delighted audiences in the main school hall on the evenings of 30th and 31st January.

The visually-striking set and costumes added to the captivating atmosphere of the play, in which the cast from the Senior School re-imagined the classical story and placed it in a contemporary refugee camp.  With all the men dead, the women are abandoned and wait to be enslaved by the army.

The production followed the journey of the women as they said their last goodbyes to their home and family in a mesmerising tale of love and loss.

Photographer Nick Dale captured some striking photographs of the play, which are attached here.
