Maggie Fleet, a year 11 pupil at Watford Grammar School for Girls, won the BAFTA in the Factual category for the documentary she made with her grandfather, Stephen Frank. Speaking about her award, Maggie said, “I was very shocked but amazed and delighted to win this award – and so proud of my Opa for telling his story to so many people.”
Recognising Maggie’s award, Miss Sylvia Tai, headmistress of Watford Grammar School for Girls, said: “This is a wonderful achievement and we are delighted for Maggie. Her film provided a moving insight into the Holocaust and we are thrilled that it has been recognised by BAFTA.”
