Versatile venue
Located in the centre of Watford, we are pleased to hire our excellent facilities to a wide range of community groups and businesses. Watford Grammar School for Girls makes an ideal venue for hosting a range of functions, from small meetings, training sessions and evening classes, to seminars, large-scale conferences and celebrations. Our wide range of facilities includes:
- Spacious, well-equipped meeting rooms for up to 30 people
- Dedicated lecture theatre with raked seating for 100 people
- Impressive hall with capacity for up to 300 people
- Break-out rooms and exhibition spaces
Well equipped
All our meeting rooms have Wi-Fi, flip charts, pads and pens. Additional stationery can be provided on request and projectors and screens are available to hire at a minimal cost.
Our school is maintained to a high standard and during any lets there will always be a member of site staff on the premises.
Town-centre location
Our location in the heart of Watford town centre makes us conveniently situated for attendees to reach us by car and public transport. We have ample on-site parking and excellent access to roads linking to the M1 and M25. Watford Junction Station is a 15-minute walk away, with direct trains to central London and the North. Watford High Street Station is a two-minute walk from the school.

Match Day Football Parking
We offer easy and convenient on-site parking on match days. Our central location means we are only a 5 minute walk away from Vicarage Road Stadium.
- Prices for parking are £12 for cars and £25 for minibuses. Sat Nav: WD18 0AE
- Easy access to the stadium and exit to the main roads. Only 5-10 minutes from M1, junction 5.
- Gates open 4 hours before kick off (3 hours for midweek fixtures). Gates close 2 hours after the final whistle.
- All profits go directly to support the education of pupils.
- Card payment preferred (cash also accepted).
Sports facilities hire
At Watford Grammar School for Girls we have a wide range of sports facilities available to hire.
Indoors, our sports hall has markings for badminton, football, tennis and netball, making it an ideal venue for a range of sports clubs and classes. We also have a dance / aerobics studio that is suitable for a variety of activities, from high-energy workouts to yoga. Our swimming pool is available at dedicated times for holiday swimming classes and fun splash sessions.
Outdoors, we have a number of sports pitches and hard-standing courts available for hire.
