Head Girl’s Welcome
Welcome to Watford Grammar School for Girls. 6 years ago I was in the exact same position as you; I felt nervous, uncertain, and afraid of joining a new school full of new people. I know it can seem pretty daunting, right? One minute you’re the oldest year group in a school and the next, you find yourselves the youngest and in unfamiliar territory however let me reassure you, within my first week here at Watford Grammar School for Girls, I felt at home and I’m certain you will too!
I have enjoyed getting to explore my chosen A-level subjects in greater depth and really pushing myself academically.
Our Sixth Form
We are ambitious to achieve good A Level results and our teachers, who are experts in their subjects, are always on hand to help us to realise our goals. They are approachable and passionate, which means that we always feel supported in our learning.
However, even more than the excellent academic standards, are the many opportunities we have in the Sixth Form to pursue our individual interests, be they sport, music, drama or travel, for instance. We are encouraged to push ourselves and take on new challenges, from being part of the Head Girl team to directing a school play, and from participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme to being captain of a sports team. The opportunities are endless!
