Head Girl’s Welcome
Since my very first day at Watford Girls, when I walked through the gates as an overly eager Year 7 with a slightly oversized blazer and an incredibly oversized rucksack, I have never felt anything but welcome. There’s not a day that’s gone by where I haven’t felt well supported and excited to involve myself in my academics. Both the staff and the students really made every effort to make Watford Girls feel like my second home, and I truly believe that I would not be sat where I am today had it not been for this school, and the girl it helped me grow up to be.
I have enjoyed getting to explore my chosen A-level subjects in greater depth and really pushing myself academically.
Our Sixth Form
We are ambitious to achieve good A Level results and our teachers, who are experts in their subjects, are always on hand to help us to realise our goals. They are approachable and passionate, which means that we always feel supported in our learning.
However, even more than the excellent academic standards, are the many opportunities we have in the Sixth Form to pursue our individual interests, be they sport, music, drama or travel, for instance. We are encouraged to push ourselves and take on new challenges, from being part of the Head Girl team to directing a school play, and from participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme to being captain of a sports team. The opportunities are endless!
