We are delighted to share with you the results of our recent Ofsted inspection. Following a two day visit over 5th-6th March, the Ofsted inspectors looked at five areas of the school and we are pleased to report we received ‘Outstanding’ in all of these areas.

This is a huge achievement for the school and everyone who is a part of the WGGS community. In particular, the Ofsted inspectors had high praise for the behaviours and attitudes of our students. To quote the Ofsted report:

Pupils are rightly proud to attend this remarkable school”

They commented on the sharp focus on academic subjects as well as the high quality of education in the arts, practical subjects and physical education. The students attitudes towards others and their learning is highly positive.

“Being a ‘Watford Girl’ is important because it gives pupils a strong sense of belonging, heritage and shared values.”

Miss Tai commented: “The outcome of the Ofsted inspection is a pleasing recognition of the long-established quality of pastoral and academic standards at Watford Girls. We are delighted they recognised the strength of the community and the hard working staff that create this ‘remarkable school’.”
